The Austintown Fitch Basketball Program has a rich tradition dating back to the 1930's. Over the years, Fitch Basketball has captured a State Championship, District Championship, and numerous Conference Championships. The program has produced a variety of great players over the years. Some have garnered all state recognition, district awards, and conference awards. The program prides itself on producing student athletes that excel both in and out of the classroom. We currently have four teams at the middle school and three teams at the high school level-- Two seventh grade and two eighth boys’ teams, a freshman team, junior varsity and varsity.
We also believe in developing our youth, so we have our annual summer camp along with our winter program. These programs target the younger kids so we can develop them for the future. Along with our youth camps, we produce travel teams that play throughout the area. The basketball program also has a booster club that works side-by-side with the basketball staff to help provide the players with the best opportunity to succeed. All of these things help make the Fitch Basketball a successful program.
